Ria Formosa Natural Park is a protected coastal lagoon in the Algarve region of southern Portugal, stretching approximately 60 kilometers along the coast from Garrão Beach in the west to Manta Rota Beach in the east. It encompasses around 18,000 hectares of diverse ecosystems, including barrier islands, marshes, tidal flats, and salt pans.
