Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim is one of the most alluring places to visit. It's a beautiful place and I have a special attachment to this place because this is where I first tried Momos and absolute (Read More)ly fell in love! Gangtok is just the best place to go if you're looking to escape reality and just want some good weather, delicious delicacies of food, awesome shopping places and great scenic views. Places I went to and would definitely recommend were the gorgeous and serene Tsomgo Lake, the Khangchendzonga Biosphere Reserve with it's vast flora and fauna, Banjhakri Falls which was just completely breathing, and definitely the beautifully lit MG road for the amazing street shopping and food.

The whole of North East is a treat to the eyes and soul, but this quaint little city tops the list. The clean and maintained streets of MG Marg, with little Tibetan shops lining both sides of it, the (Read More) Buddhist monasteries that have an unmatched serenity, the flower show, the zoo, the Ganesh and Hanuman Tok which are great view points as well, the wondrous waterfalls and of course, the Tsomgo Lake are the highlights of the city. My visit to Gangtok consisted of touring all the above mentioned places. Of monasteries, I visited Rumtek monastery which is one of the oldest and Enchey monastery which provides some really picturesque views.

Gangtok is the best city I have seen in India till now, the cleanliness and simplicity of people there is just impeccable, and you can't stop yourself falling in love with it. Hotels are also beautif (Read More)ul and staff they have at hotels are so professional and welcoming that they present you gifts when you check-in and checkout. Also, you can enjoy Paragliding in Gangtok it's just a few km from the city.

Gangtok!! No any words to express, i can just say that its a place where u must visit. My experience of visiting Gangtok is incredible. MG Marg, Nathula Pass(Indo-China border), various beautiful mon (Read More)asteries, mommos are just mindblowing moment of my life. I really been to so many hill-stations, but can proudly say that Gangtok you are the best one.

- Gangtok has a beautiful vibe to it. The MG road is clean, interesting and a chill place to just relax and shop. The pubs have great music and good food and drinks. Alcohol is cheap because of no st (Read More)ate tax in Sikkim. Surrounding areas are amazing. Do visit Nathu La, Changu lake and nearby monasteries. If time permits, visit Peling and North Sikkim.
