Ariana Museum

Ariana Museum is Geneva’s most beautiful museum. The overwhelming staircase dominating the entrance, the extremely ravishing and delicate iconography ceilings paintings and the equally well-sculpted busts and statues adorning the facades make it a must-visit place in Geneva.

It borrows from Baroque and Renaissance styles and took over 10 years to build. It is curated soulfully by Gustave Revillioid and his close and faithful aide Godefroy Sidler in the 19th century. One of the most important museums across Europe that is religiously empathetic towards kiln craft, the Ariana Museum offers the most exquisite exhibits devoted to Geneva’s ceramics and glass collection. It shelters over 30000 artistic pieces of work from across Switzerland, Europe and even the East. 

All the widely known techniques of the art form such as earthenware, pottery, porcelain, stoneware and china are present here with the ones on exhibit form merely the cherry on the cake, just about 10 to 12% of the total volume of the designs present inside this equally appealing and well-decorated building.
