Ashvem Beach, Goa Overview

Located near the famous Morjim Beach, Ashwem Beach is one of the few beaches left in Goa that is yet to be discovered by the mainstream tourist crowd of Goa. The stunning beach offers its visitors an endless expanse of pearly white sands complemented well by the beautiful waves of the Arabian Sea. Surfing and Yoga are widely practised here. The calm waters are safe for swimming.

The long sandy shores of the Ashwem Beach starts from the bank of the Chapora River to the south stretching all the way to Ashwem forming the northern tip. The long coastline of the Ashvem is neatly punctuated by palm and coconut trees. A hidden gem with one of the most stunning views, Ashvem Beach offers a perfect mix of scenic beauty and a fantabulous location to stay, dine and party.

As Goa's public transport operates more in the residential areas, it is advisable to rent a two-wheeler or four-wheeler to explore Goa. Navigation is simplified by the friendly locals who are quite knowledgeable about most destinations in Goa. Renting a two-wheeler is quite simple in every part of Goa and will cost you around INR 250-300 per day without petrol.

How to Reach Ashwem Beach

Traveling to this secluded beach can be really tiring as the nearest airport that is the Dabolim International airport lies about 60 km away from this wonderful beauty. And the nearest railways station that is Thivim railway station is located 18 km away from the beach. Thus you have to take a bus or a cab to reach the destination. Even if you take any public transport the distance between Panaji and Ashwem is 30 km. Although, it is highly suggested that you hire a private vehicle to the location as the facility of a bus from the beach is quite irregular. Navigation becomes easier with locals and travelers guiding you perfectly to these locations.
