Galgibaga Beach

The tranquility of the beach allows you to relax and fought all the worries of the modern day lifestyle. One of the most scenic beauties of Goa, the northern part of the Galgibaga Beach is a nesting site of the endangered Olive Ridley turtles, giving the beach it’s another name as the Turtle beach. It is one of the three beaches along with Morjim and Agonda beaches where the state program of protection and preservation of Olive Ridley turtles is implemented to perfection. This program prohibits any construction or extra development in the region to avoid any accidental damage to the turtles. If you really want to witness these amazing little creatures of nature, you must plan the visit that allows you to stay at night as these turtles come out to lay eggs at night during the peak season. The nesting area is fenced due to the protection program but you can definitely see a few turtles.
