Golden Beach

Golden Beach is located on a large bay on the way to Pefkohori. It has fine sand with many large pebbles. It is not usually crowded, and since it is located on the leeway side, there are no waves or wind, making the beach relatively peaceful and calm. The gradual depth of the ocean water makes it very suitable for children to play in, making it a family-friendly beach. There are also organized parts on the beach for people to walk, jog, cycle, skateboard and relax on their sunbeds under the shade of their umbrellas.

The water is clear and calm, devoid of any major motions because of the lack of sturdy waves in the area. There is also a forest near the beach, which adventure-seeking visitors can explore. There are areas of natural shade on the beach, and it gets better when one finds a good spot in the shade. The beach is quite accessible, and there is plenty of space for people to place their own equipment on the sand to get the best out of their holiday experience. The right part of the beach, facing the sea, is the best entrance to the ocean since there are no stones in the area.
