SkyWheel, Helsinki Overview

SkyWheel Helsinki is a 40-meter-tall Ferris wheel located in the Katajanokka district of central Helsinki. Situated near the harbor and close to landmarks like the Uspenski Cathedral, it offers panoramic views of the city's skyline, historic sites, and the Baltic Sea, making it a popular attraction for both tourists and locals. Notably, it features the world's first sauna cabin on a Ferris wheel, known as the SkySauna. Ride duration of the ferris wheel is 10 minutes.

Opened to the public on June 3, 2014, SkyWheel Helsinki was designed and constructed by the Netherlands-based company Dutch Wheels. The wheel comprises 30 climate-controlled gondolas, ensuring year-round operation. Among these, 29 standard blue-and-white gondolas can each accommodate up to six passengers. The VIP gondola, designed for a more luxurious experience, features a glass floor and leather seating for four guests. The unique SkySauna gondola, with wood-paneled interiors, offers a traditional Finnish sauna experience for up to five people while rotating above the city.
