Built in 1976, the Palatial Floating Restaurant courts various viewpoints to explore amidst the Ming Dynasty fashioned infrastructure which stands on top of almost 260 feet long base. The key attractions to visit on Jumbo Kingdome are as follows:

Roof Deck: Formerly known as the Top Deck, and recently refurbished, the Roof Deck provides an alfresco dining experience with a breathtaking sea view of the Victorian harbor and a starry night. Few of the signature dishes of Jumbo Kingdom along with barbeque specialties and seafood cuisines can be savored here amid the spectacular view.

Dragon Court: Conserving the evocative luxury of the Ming Dynasty amalgamated with some contemporary Chinese décor, the Dragon court offers a fine dining experience on the first deck of Jumbo Kingdom. Serving quality authentic provincial cuisines of Chinese custom within the dining hall adorned with traditional furniture and interiors, the Dragon Court also allows access to an open-to-sky dining experience at its long balcony.

Shum Wam Pier Garden: This section extends an outdoor beautiful view of a traditional fishing village on the decks of the Jumbo Kingdom. Post the exuberant dining experience at the Jumbo Restaurant, stroll out for a romantic walk on the piers of Shum Wam Pier Garden, also known as Pier Plaza.

2. Don’t be fooled by the taxi drivers who ply the water around the Jumbo Kingdom to ferry you to the location for some bargain fare. Jumbo Kingdom offers frequent and free shuttle services at Shum Wam Pier and the Aberdeen Promenade (waterfront) to take you to the floating restaurant.
3. It is advisable to always reserve or pre-book your tables at the Jumbo Kingdom for a hassle-free dining experience without waiting in line.
4. Try to arrive a little ahead of time for your reservations since the restaurant serves on first cum first serve basis policy.

How To Reach Jumbo Kingdom

Located on the Shum Wam Pier Drive of Wong Chuk Hang, Jumbo Kingdom is tucked on the coasts of Aberdeen town area of Hong Kong Island. One can reach the location via various modes of transport i.e. City Buses, Taxis, Motorbikes, Private Cars and the underground railways.

Various buses operate from Central and Hong Kong Island to Aberdeen, for fare HKD 4 – HKD 15 per se your travel origin. The closest underground subway station near Aberdeen is New South Island for HKD 5.6 to HKD 8.5 fare cost. Hiring a Taxi or Uber towards Aberdeen costs around HKD 113 TO HKD 135, and is considered as an expensive mode of transportation.
