Baw Gyo Paya, Hsipaw Overview
Baw Gyo Paya is a small Buddhist temple located in the city centre of Hsipaw in Myanmar. The pagoda is the venue for Baw Gyo Festival, which happens during the spring every year. It is the biggest festival in the Shan state that brings together tea growers from all the villages to participate in religious ceremonies. There is also a fair held during this time, when buyers and sellers gather for trading handicrafts, tea, jewelry and handmade items.
