Atlantis, Ibiza Overview
Located on the opposite of Es Vedra, Atlantis in Ibiza is a popular tourist location. Hundreds of years ago, rock from this place was quarried and was used to build homes, walls and the watch towers of Ibiza. Even now, one can find different interesting rock formations here.
Atlantis is one mysterious cove that is worth the one hour long trek which needs to be done to reach there. There is an off the beaten track cove on the opposite island of Es Vedra which is supposed to have been affected by mystery, myths and magic. It is also rumored to be the lost city of Atlantis. There is a huge number of caves, rocks, holes and sea pools and it is truly something magical. After trekking up to the pirate watchtower of Torre de Savinar, there is a small hike which gives you brilliant views of rock formation. At a certain point, the sea flows inside the sand colored rocks which create an amazing swimming pool.
