Located in the Konak district, Fatih Camii is located high on a hill in Izmir. The mosque is known for a its unique appearance of blue tiles and for its view from its minarets. The lower floor offers gardens and a tea cafe while second floor is perfect to take in panoramic views of the city. Interior of the mosque, although small, is a visual delight with its multi-coloured columns and red-and-white stylised arches, giving it a Moorish flavour.The mosque gardens are equally beautiful and offer a relaxed space.
The site is easily reachable on foot, by car, or by bus. For those choosing to walk, a popular route starts from Gazi Osman Paşa Boulevard opposite the Agora Open Air Museum. From there, head south along Gazi Osman Paşa Boulevard, which turns into Eşrefpaşa Caddesi. Continue until you reach Birleşmiş Milletler Caddesi, where the mosque can be seen on the right-hand side.
