Chandigarh to Jaisalmer

The distance between Chandigarh and Jaisalmer varies between 800 to 900 km depending upon the route chosen. There are three important routes available in this regard.

Route 1: Via NH 7

For this, you need to take the Himalaya Marg, Dakshin Marg, Sukhna Path, Chandi Path, and Jagatpura Bypass Road to NH 5 in Punjab. From here get onto NH 7, NH 54, Chautala Road, Suratgarh-Hanumangarh Road and Suratgarh-Chattargarh-Bikaner Road to Nachna Road in Rajasthan. Continue on Nachna Road and then take MDR 103 and MDR 19B to Hanuman Chauraha in Kishan Ghat. This route takes approximately 14 hours and 18 minutes.

Route 2: Via NH 11

Start on Udyog Path, Purva Marg, and Chandigarh Road to NH 5 and NH 7 in Zirakhpur. After this continue on NH 7 to Patiala and then to Patiala-Samana Road and SH 10 and NH 52 in Patran. Continue on NH 52, SH 10, MDR 102, Narwana Fatehabad Road, MDR 103, MDR 65, and Mahajan-Pallu-Mandarpura-Nohar Road to NH 62. From here, take NH 11 to Gadisar Road in Jaisalmer. Continue driving until you reach Hanuman Chauraha in Kishan Ghat. This route should take approximately 15 hours and 8 minutes.

Route 3: Via NH52 and NH 11

Follow the same route as in the second route until NH52. From there, you can take NH 11 to Gadisar Road in Jaisalmer to reach Hanuman Chauraha in Kishan Ghat. This route will take approximately 15 hours 7 minutes.

There are no direct trains available from Chandigarh to Jaisalmer. Hence, there are two options for the same. You can either board a train from Chandigarh to Delhi or Jodhpur and then continue onwards to Jaisalmer.
