Vilakazi Street, Johannesburg Overview
Vilakazi Street is one of the most famous and iconic streets in Soweto and Johannesburg, housing many markets and restaurants. Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu used to live here. The café where both of them used to meet is now a favourite among locals.
Visit Mandela House, the former residence of Nelson Mandela and present-day museum, and Hector Pieterson Museum and Memorial.
