Durga Temple, Jowai Overview
A famous temple of the region, the Durga temple is located near the remnants of the Summer Palace. Long ago, human heads were offered to Ma Durga as sacrifice.
Later, during the British rule, this practice was abandoned. This temple is more than 5 centuries old and is extremely rich in historic and cultural values.
