"Stunning islet of Kalamaki"

Kalamaki Tourism

Nestled on the southern coast of the island of Zakynthos is the resort town of Kalamaki. Kalamaki is situated a 15-minute drive away from the Zante Airport. Kalamaki is also a Greek beach, which is a nesting ground for rare loggerhead sea turtles. It is known for its vast sandy beach with crystal clear shallow waters and is ideal for a romantic getaway.

Protected by Greek Legislation, Kalamaki is also regarded as a part of the National Maritime Park of Zakynthos. Kalamaki shares proximity to the town of Zante; however, it remains serene and isolated. It is a great place for people who want to relax by the beach and enjoy the vistas. Placed on Laganas Bay, the Kalamaki beach extends towards the horizon and is full of sunbeds and small stores. Since Kalamaki beach is a protected region, watersports aren't allowed there. However, tourists can hire a pedalo and observe the loggerhead turtles in the area. A nudist beach named Vrodonero is located to the east of Kalamaki Beach behind a couple of tall rocks.
