Vismaya Water Park, Kannur Overview

Located near Taliparamba in Kannur in Kerala, Vismaya Water Park is a water themed park which is replete with a plethora of amusing rides and thrilling water sports. Spread across 30 acres of land area, the water park was inaugurated in August 2008, the water park boasts of a host of splash pools in addition to other facilities like a conference hall, prayer halls, restaurants and casual shops etc.

The amazing decor complements the cosy infrastructure and adds to the overall ambiance of the park. Thronged by several tourists all around the year, the park is a common favourite among kids and adults alike. Managed and maintained by Malabar Tourism Development Co-operative Limited (MTDC), the park is one of its kind in the country to be promoted by a Co-operative society.

Dry Rides
Vismaya Water Park is also an infotainment park along with a water themed park. It has a host of dry rides along with the swimming pools. Some of the best rides and activities include Striking Car, Break Dance, Giant Wheel, Mirror Haze, Free Fall, and Tornado etc.

Water Rides
Water Park is the highlight of the Vismaya Water Park. Boasting of multiple pools, separate for adults and kids, the park also has several water based rides that are supremely thrilling and adventurous. Among the top water rides and activities are Rain Dance, Splash Pools, Pendulum, Water Gun, Wave Pool, Water Rainbow, and Black Hole etc.

Thrill Rides
In addition to the dry and water rides, there is also a special category for thrilling rides and unlimited adventure. You can ride on the Giant Wheel or enjoy a tour of the Horror Cave. Or just enjoy a ride on the Space Shuttle.

Kiddie Rides
There is a separate section for kids where your kids can have a gala time. There are special rides for all age groups of children. There is a tiny Free Fall especially designed for kids. Virtual Waterfall is another major attraction at the water park where people dance to the tunes of songs under an artificial waterfall. Although it is man made, but it will surely remind you of the real ones. The waterfall activity is usually carried on between 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM everyday.

Rainwater Harvesting in Vismaya Water Park

The Rainwater Harvesting Project of Vismaya Water Park is spread over two acres of area. Here, they collect and preserve rainwater which is used to meet the water requirements of the water park. Because of this green policy, Vismaya Water Park is considered to be one of the more environmentally friendly water parks in the world.

Conference Hall: The magnanimous Conference Hall is installed with the state of the art technology and has a seating capacity of 200 people.
Marriage Hall: There is also a gorgeous marriage hall in the complex. Other than spectacular decor and a gorgeous ambiance, the marriage hall also has a seating capacity of 200 people.
Dormitory: The Dormitory in Vismaya Water Park is spread over two floors with over 80 beds. You can also choose to stay over in the premises and enjoy the comfortable hospitality.
Restaurant: The restaurant in the premises serves sumptuous food and several cuisines.
Locker: For day visitors, the water park also has locker facility where they can keep their valuables safe and roam around freely in the park.
