Antisamos is a curved blue flag beach located 3 km from Sami village on the island's east coast. It is filled with beautiful white pebbles and surrounded by green limestone hills full of pine trees. The waters are clear enough to observe fishes, thus making it a great snorkelling spot. A watersports facility offers many adventurous activities such as wakeboarding, Jet Skiing, Banana boating, canoeing, and many more.
It is also known for being the venue of some of the scenes of the Hollywood movie Captain Corelli’s Mandolin. The beach has all basic amenities such as a tavern, snack bar, car parking, lifeguard, rentable sun loungers and umbrellas. It is accessible via cars and scooters and is a popular spot for many Kefalonia boat tours. The 18th-century monastery of Panagia Aprilia is a few km from the beach.
