Fteri beach is one of the most naturally scenic beaches on the northwestern coast of Kefalonia island. It is surrounded by an enchanting forest on towering white limestone cliffs, which serve as popular freediving spots. The beach is made up of smooth white pebbles, which give a mesmerising glass-like effect to its crystal-clear turquoise waters.
Visitors can take an hour-long hike along the steep mountain path or a quicker 10-minute water taxi from Agia Kyriaki beach for 20 Euros per person. The beach is naturally well-preserved and secluded, with no facilities. It is a popular spot on Kefalonia boat tours along with nearby bays and islands, such as Kamari Beach, Blue Lagoon, Amidi Beach, Myrtos Beach, Gianiskari cave, and more.
