Yes I visited Khajuraho. From Jhansi railway station it is easy to access. Most of people who cannot afford flights. Very calm. Meant for tourism purposes only.

Khajuraho is known all over the world for its carvings which are rather erotic and sensuous and definitely not what you expect out of India. The carvings are every radical Hindus nightmare, which is (Read More)quite ironic. These structures are especially important for those interested in history and architecture. Anybody following the news would be shocked to see these carvings as those claiming to be the protectors of the Hindu culture definitely have ignored this huge chunk of the culture that celebrates eroticism.

Khajuraho is a haven full of temples, with intricate carvings and is a delight for any lover of history and art. The sculptures are beautiful and they all date back an era. The Kandariya Mahadev Temp (Read More)le, Devi jagdamba Temple and Vishwanath Temple are must visits. There is also a light and sound show held in the Western Temple Complex after 6.00PM. It narrates the life and history of the Chandela Kings. You can also target Khajuraho in February for the Khajuraho Dance Festival. It is a treat for dance enthusiasts to watch immaculate dances set against the backdrop of the well-lit temples.
