International Tsunami Museum, Khao Lak Overview
The International Tsunami Museum is dedicated to preserving the tragic story of the devastating Indian Ocean tsunami in 2004 for subsequent generations. It is located in a two-story home on Phetkasem Road. The exhibits show photos and videos of Khao Lak’s tsunami and a real stranded police boat, teach how a tsunami is formed, and show cultural and psychological responses to the calamity.
