The palm-fringed islands of Koh Samui offer many pristine sites for kayaking. Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park is the topmost destination for kayaking in Ko Samui. There are several lagoons, water tunnels, interesting rock formations, and caves to explore in the islands in and around this Ramsar site. Other popular destinations are Pig Island, Koh Madsum, Koh Phangan, and Koh Tan.
Koh Tai Plo is the best location for kayaking at Mu Ko Ang Thong. There are rocky cliffs, small caverns, and a hidden alcove here. The next stop should be Koh Mae Koh, which offers a steep climb to a viewpoint with a stunning vista of the Emerald Lake. The main island is Koh Wua Talap, where you can relax, take in natural beauty, or trek to the Bua Bok Caves. All the islands are known for secluded beaches and rich wildlife, including sea turtles, pythons, otters, and lizards. Many locations here are suitable for snorkeling and swimming as well. However, there are no places to rent kayaks on the islands. You should book the day trip in advance via a tour operator. Bluestars Kayaking, Silent Divers, Samuikayak, Koh Samui Boat Charter, and Samui Explorer are some of the well-known agencies.
