Sai Nuan Beach

Sai Nuan on Koh Tao Island is a group of two beaches, Sai Nuan 1 and Sai Nuan 2. The two beaches are among the most unperturbed locations in Thailand, thus ideal for swimming, sunbathing, kayaking, and snorkeling. The two beaches are connected by a short trail through palm groves on rugged terrains. You can also swim or take a kayak from one shore to the other.

Expect to spot unicornfish, batfish, harlequin sweetlips, yellowtail barracuda, threadfin butterfly fish, and green turtles. Beach 1 is rocky on one side and sandy on the other. It is lined by small resorts, restaurants, and shops and is best for a quick meal or a sip of beer. Banana Rock Bar is the place to go if you want a drink, whereas Siam Cookies Resort serves hearty Thai food and beverages. Beach 2 is sandier, the more picturesque of the two, and is lined with tropical trees. This is where to lie in a hammock all afternoon with a book or pose for Instagram photoshoots. There are a couple of villas here to spend the night. Tao Thong Villa and Char Bungalows have basic bedrooms with shower-fitted bathrooms and electricity.
