Traditional House of Kefalos, Kos Overview
The Traditional House of Kefalos is a museum and a cultural heritage center, located in H Mullet village. In this 100-year-old house, run by the Marangou family, visitors can experience a snapshot of the culture and daily life of the people of the island from that time. At the entrance is the museum, which showcases a collection of old photos and several objects and artifacts used by the islanders, like agricultural tools, family heirlooms, and household utensils.
The House is located opposite the entrance to Markos beach. The hosts arrange barbeque on prior request. The place is wheelchair accessible. There is a cafe under vine arbors, which serves Greek delicacies, fresh juices and wine.
