Sarovaram Bio Park

Located in Kottooli near Kozhikode, Sarovaram Bio Park is an enthralling venture taken up by the government to conserve the rich mangrove forests and wetlands of Kerala. Situated adjacent to Canoly Canal, the bio reserve has been developed on an eco-friendly theme and aims to preserve and protect its rich ecosystems and biodiversity. Abound in natural beauty and blooming with verdant greenery and wildlife, the park is a wonderful break from the humdrum of life and lets its guest soak in the rejuvenating and ethereal environment. Spread over a vast 200 acres of protected land, Sarovaram Bio Park is a part of the extended project undertaken by the Government of India top protect the identified 27 wetlands.

Besides giving a taste of surreal beauty and captivating locales, the park has other attractions for its tourists including canal walkway, boating facilities, otter park, butterfly park, bird sanctuary, aquarium, amphitheatre, floating rafts, musical fountains and children’s park. Built in the traditional Kerala style architecture, the park is especially popular among college kids and couples owing to its all -around serenity and solitary environment. A lot of people routinely visit the park for their morning and evening jogs.
