Krabi in High Season

People throw water at each other as they believe it will wash away the bad luck from the previous year.

Krabi Boek Fa Andaman Festival takes place during Mid-November which is the official beginning of the tourist season. The Chak Phra festival happens in December which means pulling off the Buddhist monks. It is celebrated to preserve traditions among the local community. Many Buddhists wear yellow shirts for this festival and participate in the parade that goes for 3 kilometres long. The King?s birthday falls on 5th December and is celebrated with pomp and fare.
