Kuala Pilah is a town in Kuala Pilah district , 40km east of Seremban in the eastern rural state of Negeri Sembilan in Malaysia. The charm of this old valley town lies in its Chinese shophouses surrounded by traditional Malay village houses built on stilts. Situated close to Kuala Lumpur, it is crowded on the weekend when the natives return to their homes for the weekend (from Kuala Lumpur).
A couple of tourist sites are located in Kuala Pilah including the Ulu Bendul and other religious plces of worship. The countryside aura is a refresher with clear fresh water from Mt.Angsi. A wonderful dragon fruit cultivation can also be seen here with beautiful kampongs and paddy fields on the way. Kuala Pilah also happens to link various important routes.
Kuala Pilah is also known for tjhe minangkabau houses ( the ones with a sloping buffalo horn roofline ). There are rows of small shopping outlets at the newer and centre suburbs . Don’t forget to taste the seasonal fruits that are sold locally especially the Musang King Durians, while you’re here. Lemang, a delicacy can also be enjoyed when travelling.
