The Terengganu State Museum is the largest museum in Malaysia which spans across an area of about 75,000 square meters. Located at Kampung Losong, Kuala Terengganu, this museum is housed in 4 buildings. One can find 9 galleries inside the museum namely, the Natural History Gallery, the Textile Gallery, the Royal Gallery, the Craft Gallery, the Petroleum Gallery, the Islamic Gallery, the Historical Gallery, the Seafaring & Trade Gallery, and the Fisheries & Marine Gallery.
This museum is adorned with concrete stilts, landscaped gardens, ponds, and beautiful roofs. Its architecture is inspired by Terengganu palatial designs. Some of the other attractions of the museum include the rumah tele gifted by King Mongkut of Thailand, the Batu Bersurat inscription stone, traditional weapons, Islamic artistic elements, and traditional real houses.
Timings : Saturday-Thursday: 9:00 AM- 5:00 PM
Friday: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Entry Fees : Malaysian citizens: RM 5 (Adults)
RM 2 (Children)
RM 1 (Students in uniform)
Non- Malaysian citizens: RM 15 (Adults)
RM 10 (Children)
