The beautiful town of Kumta is 30 km from the glorious beach town of Gokarna. Lying on the coastline of Arabian Sea, it offers tantalizing beaches with black rocks, old temples and sprawling greenery, Kumta is all about relaxing, unwinding and solitude.

With amazing weather throughout the year, the town is adorned with beaches like Baada beach, Kumta beach and Dhareshwar Beach creating a mesmerizing ambience around the ancient temples displaying age-old art. Suggested Itinerary for Kumta

Day 1 - Reach Kumta and check into your hotel and freshen up. Later, you can head over to the Om Beach. Sit on a beach, enjoy the ambience and listen to the acoustic sounds of the splashing waves, breeze, and seagulls. Take a promenade towards the Gokarna Beach. Go for some hiking, have some iced Nutella and prawn pizza plated on a banana leaf at Kudle Beach located nearby. You can also collect some souvenirs and do some hippie shopping to relieve your stress of travelling.
Day 2 - Go for the early morning tour covering the sunrise at the Paradise Beach, followed by a visit to Mahabaleshwar Temple and Shree Mahaganpati temple located at a driving distance of 20 minutes from each other. Relax for a while.
Day 3 -  Take the one-hour road tour to Murudheshwara and plunge into the devotion of Lord Shiva. Relish the picturesque view of the world's second-tallest Shiva statue, located on the coast of the Arabian sea. In the second half, you can visit the Half Moon Beach followed by the Nirvana Beach located at a 27-minute distance from each other to enjoy the tranquil ambience of the beach while walking on the seashore.

The nearest airport is Dabolim Airport in Goa which is 167 km away and is well connected with direct and hopping flights with other major cities across the country.

Located 167 km away from Kumta, Dabolim Airport is the nearest airport in Goa. It has direct flights from Delhi, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bangalore and Cochin. On reaching the airport, you can hire a taxi to get to Kumta, which will take you around 3 and a half hours. Alternatively, you can also book a bus ticket online in advance to travel to Kumta from Dabolim Airport.
