The Museum of Contemporary Design and Applied Arts, or MUDAC is situated in Lausanne, Switzerland, and it opened in 2000. It is a museum of contemporary design and applied arts. The main attraction in this museum is a group of three outstanding museums named as Plateforme 10.
Also the chair exhibition is spectacular. The museum is exposed with care and originality. Its schedule of five to eight shows each year alternates subject initiatives with "carte blanche" opportunities for Swiss and international designers. It features both up-and-coming artists and well-known designers like Zep or Stefan Sagmeister. The Mudac is up for any task, whether it involves plastic bags or Playmobil, flippers or fruit wrappers, pop-ups or camouflage, graphic design or jewelry, industrial design or fashion.
It has earned a reputation for having an incisive and inquiring approach towards the objects that create our way of life and has consistently strived to pose relevant (and occasionally impertinent!) questions
The Mudac prides pleasure in fostering conversation and discussion by fusing design with contemporary art, applied arts, and other genres. The world recognises this innovative and audacious approach, and exhibits have been held everywhere from Paris to Seoul.
Facilities : Parking garage available, Public toilets available.
