Descanso Gardens

Originally nurtured by Boddy to grow just a few camellia groves, Descanso Gardens is also a hub of hiking, owing to the beautiful trails flanked with mature oaks, roses and native Californian plants. The grounds have quite a few lakes with seating areas beside where you can enjoy watching the playful Koi fish with your family. Within premises is The Kitchen, serving delicious snacks and chilled drinks. Visitors can grab quick bites at the front stall and relish them in the gardens, making the spot perfect for a picnic. The park dresses up in its best form of garden art during Halloween, when artistically carved pumpkins with fairy lights are left across the grounds and lake shores. Descanso Gardens also has an opulent event space hosting romantic weddings, reception parties and corporate meetings. The banquet hall has a sumptuous buffet, catering service by The Kitchen for tableside dining as well as outdoor dining facilities.
