Lake Balboa, Los Angeles Overview

A quaint district, a beautiful large lake and an interactive park all packed together in this San Fernando Valley region is Lake Balboa of Los Angeles, California. The lake in the Anthony C.Beilenson Park is referred to as Lake Balboa apart from the district itself and is large enough to accommodate various recreational activities including pedal boats, kayaking and fishing. Home to swans, ducks and geese, the lake is a beautiful sight to sore eyes. Spread around the park on the periphery of the lake is also a 1.3-mile jogging path for the daily joggers and to have a romantic stroll with your partner or spend time with your family.

The park also offers various options to picnic with many park benches and tables with incredible cherry blossom trees spread throughout the park that adds a Japanese touch with the presence of the Japanese tea garden right within the park. There’s also the playground for children and toddlers to take your little ones with various activities to keep them interested. There are also waterfalls situated within the park that adds to the beauty of the lake. Also, avail bicycles on rent and go around the lake.
