The Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens is a favorite destination in California’s Griffith Park. It is home to 29 endangered species of animals, Californian wildlife and an abode of horticulture.
With outstanding rock formations, tropical rainforests, waterfalls and verdant palms, the zoo is a pleasant natural habitat to exotic fauna. The 7,500 different manicured trees and groves create an ambient spot for picnics, celebrations and soaking in the Californian sun. During winter evenings, you can enjoy the grand light show and walk through disco-balls at the forest to meet reindeer. At Hippo Encounter, children can have the heartwarming experience of petting a friendly hippo and her baby.
