Manhattan Beach is a city in south-west Los Angeles, California. The beach stretches for about 3.4 km and is roughly 140 m wide. This place offers an exquisite range of fine dining options and boasts of casual beach culture and is featured as the ‘Best City’ to live in by many esteemed newspapers. Manhattan Beach is a hotspot for activities like Beach Volleyball and Surfing, drawing large crowds to the place. The city hosts The Manhattan Beach Open Volleyball Tournament and The International Surf Festival annually in August.
There are many places to visit here which include the Hill Section, famous for its lavish residences, Sand Section, which has quite a bike trails, Downtown, which is the heart of the city, Rosecrans Corridor which has the golf course, retail stores, and fine dining restaurants, Sepulveda Corridor which has the Manhattan Village Mall and many exotic restaurants and Aviation Corridor which has many movie studios like those of the Marvel pictures. There are many parks spread out over the city, the largest being the Polliwog Park which has the Manhattan Beach Botanical Garden, a small lake and an open-aired concert amphitheatre. The Manhattan Beach Historical Society Red Cottage offers a collection of the historical artefacts. The city also hosts an Annual Hometown Fair usually in October making it an ideal time to visit the place.
