Rowena Reservoir, Los Angeles Overview
An oasis right in the middle of the Hyperion Avenue and Rowena Avenue and just off the Golden State Freeway, the Rowena Reservoir is a very picturesque lake that provides a 360-degree view of the neighborhood. A 10-million gallon reservoir that is largely underground now, it’s fenced off and restricted for public access despite strong protests from the locals to open it.
However, the path around the periphery of the reservoir provides some beautiful views of the sunset and a good stroll in the evenings. The reservoir primarily supplies water for the neighborhoods surrounding the area.
