Topanga State Beach is one of the closest beaches to Los Angeles, situated along the Pacific Coast Highway and South Topanga Canyon, Malibu. It is a very well-maintained public beach with activities like surfing, swimming, fishing, sunbathing and scuba diving. The place is also a hotspot for marine life. The beach is popular with surfers due to its shape and climatic conditions. Waves wrap around the sandy point around the creek and a lagoon is formed. At the west end of the beach, there is a rotting old steel barrier around the surf. The clean sands of the beach make it worth walking and the clear waters encourage all sorts of water sports. The Mastro’s Ocean Club Restaurant is situated near the beach and is very famous for its delicacies. There are restrooms, and lifeguards stationed at frequent intervals. Picnic tables are also spread out over the entire range of the beach. The best time to visit the place is during low tides.
