Vista Hermosa Natural Park

The Vista Hermosa Natural Park is located in the Echo Park district of Los Angeles. Built on a former oil field, the 10.5-acre park is popular among the local neighbourhood. The open green lawns provide a great location for visitors to connect with nature and relax. The vegetation in the park has a strong Meditterenean influence. The rolling hills of the landscape have flora native to California, as well as oak savannas. Strolling through the park gives visitors a feel of being in a forest in the middle of the city, with streams and meadows adding to the beauty of the park.

The park has a 0.3 mile walking loop that goes around the park, which is ideal for jogging and walking around. Kids are treated to a natural playground, amidst the natural landscape. The playground equipment has a natural theme, which allows it to blend with the surrounding landscape. The park also offers great views of the Downtown Los Angeles skyscrapers. The park is also home to a soccer field that meets FIFA regulations. An open air amphitheatre, located within a grotto, makes the park a great place for public events and educational tours.
