Whittier Narrows Golf Course

Located just 20 minutes away from downtown Los Angeles, the Whittier Narrows Golf Course is located at Rosemead, California. Surrounded by the 260 acres Whittier Narrows Park, it offers great views of the park and the San Gabriel Mountains. Spread across large expansive greens, it provides a great 27-hole course that’s challenging to say the least. The three distinct 9-hole courses offer a great challenge.

Walk along to the River/Pine duo 18-hole course and you’ll be greeted with mature, tree-lined fairways and incredible views of the San Gabriel Mountains throughout while the 9-hole mountain layout is one for a faster playthrough. 

Prices start at $27 and are open throughout the week for an early morning session or an evening one for a quick round. It’s inclined towards catering to beginners and average players, however, as above-average players may find the lack of yard markers on every hole, the grass and the tee boxes not to their liking. 
The fairways and the greens are laid out with Bermuda Grass which is considered efficient and lasts a long time while providing a good turf to play and is also the popular choice on most of the courses in California. As far as recreation goes, there’s also the banquet hall available for various events.
