Will Rogers State Beach Park is a beach park at the Santa Monica Bay, at the Pacific coast of California. What makes this beach very popular is that the famous show Baywatch was shot here before they moved the shooting location to Hawaii. Likewise, the beach has featured in many other TV shows and movies as well owing to its scenic locations and beautiful landscapes. The beach is very popular among the LGBT community and is considered as the unofficial gay beach of Los Angeles and is often referred to as Gingers Rogers Beach. The place offers a wide range of activities and is well equipped with volleyball courts, gymnastic equipment, playground and a bike trail which extends for about nineteen miles along the shore of Torrance. Surfing is also very popular here. There are restrooms at frequent intervals and the beach is a quiet one. The tides are generally low making it one of the most visited beaches.
