Phom Pouk is a Buddhist stupa located on a hill near Nam Ngaen Village close to the city of Luang Namtha in Laos. It is a 16th-century stupa and is one of the oldest monuments remaining in the town. It is worth checking out while you are in Luang Namtha. It was built in 1628 to mark two territories between Lane Xang and Lang Na kingdoms of Luang Prabang in Laos and Chiang Mai in Thailand. It was destroyed in the American war and what remains today is a reconstructed version built in 2003.
