Ways to Experience this attraction

Jungfraujoch, Lucerne Overview

Jungfraujoch, known as the "Top of Europe," is a stunning alpine destination located at 3,454 meters above sea level in the Bernese Alps. Accessible from Lucerne via a scenic train journey through Interlaken and Grindelwald, it offers breathtaking views of the Aletsch Glacier, snow-capped peaks, and valleys. Visitors can explore attractions like the Ice Palace, Snow Fun Park, and the Sphinx Observation Deck. The journey itself, featuring the Jungfrau Railway, is as memorable as the destination.

Jungfraujoch lies at an elevation of 3,463 meters (11,362 feet) above sea level. Therefore, here, you can experience snowy breezes and a lot of snow crushing below your feet. Visitors can stand on the highest point of the Swiss Alps, walk through icy caves, play with snow, and enjoy the panoramic views of the Alps. It is also the highest train station in Europe; visitors reach here by train. After reaching Jungfraujoch, one should ride the elevator up to the Sphinx Terrace for one of the best views of the day, and then one can ride the elevator back down to the underground tunnel and walk out to the Aletsch Glacier. There's a snow park too for the visitors there, and you can go snow tubing, zip lining, skiing, or snowboarding.
