Located in the Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh, Hamsaladeevi is a tiny village near Machilipatnam town. The village is situated at the confluence where River Krishna merges into the Bay of Bengal. This point is known as Sagara Sangamam and is an important tourist attraction. Here the water can be seen in three different shades. Besides, the highlight of the village is the Hamsaladeevi beach where you can sit and relax and enjoy the gorgeous sunsets.
Another major highlight of the coastal village is the old Venugopalaswamy temple which is dedicated to Lord Krishna. The temple is believed to be really old that was constructed during the reign of the Chola kings and is one of the 108 Vishnu temples. The most important festival held from Magha Suddha Navami to Bahula Padyami, is celebrated in the honour of this deity which is one of the grand events of the place that attracts a lot of tourists and pilgrims.
