Surrounding the beautiful Presidential Palace, the San Anton Gardens contribute a shady spot in Attard. In 1882, the garden opened to the public. There are several walkways within that let you stroll amid the greens. Here, you will see fountains, ponds with groups of ducks & swans, and various trees & plants from all over the world, including floral plants like roses, Norfolk, Bougainvillea, Araucarias, & more. Some trees in this garden are over three centuries old. Notably, the Annual Horticulture Show is organized in the San Anton Gardens. Its expansive central court serves as an open-air theatre for dance performances, drama, musical concerts, etc., during the summer season. These formal gardens were built by Grand Master Antoine de Paule to enhance his summer residence - San Anton Palace.
