The Ta’ Qali Craft Village is a crafts village within the limits of Attard, a few miles away from Mdina and Rabat. Here, you will find diverse art & crafts works created & sold by local artisans. It is an ideal spot to spend a day - socializing with new people and observing craftsmen at work.
The crafts village in Ta’ Qali is situated on the site of a former military aerodrome & RAF (Royal Air Force) wartime station. After its cessation, the airbase was transformed into a recreational area & local handicrafts village. In recent years, the crafts workshops permanently upgraded to modern Maltese-style buildings. Here, you can observe the craftsmen blowing and forming glass, visit the goldsmiths creating beautiful jewelry, and have a glimpse of the beautiful sculptures. There are gold & silver filigree jewelry, ornamental glass, ceramics, leather goods, furniture, and paintings by local artists. You will surely find a special souvenir to take home with you from Malta.
