IWM North, Manchester Overview

Situated in the Metropolitan Borough of Trafford in the Greater Manchester Area, IWM North or Imperial War Museum North, is a purpose-built museum showcasing the stories of various wars. The building is a prime example of Deconstructivist architecture. It offers a panoramic view of the Trafford Park area.

It features various permanent and temporary galleries like Art at IWM North,  Big picture show, Main exhibition space, etc., showcasing a thematic and chronological display of art. The museum overlooks Manchester Ship Canal. The dramatically designed halls of the museum have artefacts and collections like the Russian T-34 tank, AV-8B Harrier Jet, 13-pounder gun, Army T-55 tank etc. making it a perfect place to explore the history and facts about wars connected to the place.
