Iztuzu Beach, Marmaris Overview

Popularly known as turtle beach, Iztuzu Beach stretches for almost 5 kilometres and was declared the best beach destination and open space in Europe. It is a protected area, with a public restaurant that offers sunbeds and parasols. The beach is windy, watersports are not allowed. It is located withing Dalyan town and you can reach it either by road or by boat from Dalyan center. Basic amenities like showers, changing rooms, toilets are also available.

Since loggerhead turtles (an endangered animal according to IUCN) breed in this area, with over 300 nests per year, the beach has been marked as a protected area. The government has taken good precautions and care of the beach over the years, with strict impositions. It is an excellent beach not just for animal lovers but to have fun and unwinding on vacation.
