Marmaris Public Beach, Marmaris Overview

Marmaris Beach, downtown, is the most suitable beach for children and families, but it is rocky. The front of the beach is covered with umbrellas and sun loungers which can be rented. It is also a famous spot for diving because of the many coves underwater, and since the water is extremely clear, divers can go down below up to 40 feet. Some parts of the beach are privately owned by hotels and are restricted.

In the evenings, the beach has a spirited atmosphere because of the various performances and folk shows hosted.  It is a crowded destination with many people around, not just for the beach but also to eat at the restaurants or shop at the stores nearby.
