The Anima Garden, located in the Ourika Valley in Marrakech, is a unique botanical garden known for its immense greenery and art. Built by the artist André Heller, it spans an area of about 2 hectares and is a recreation of African nature. It features many trees, plants, shrubs and flowers with winding paths. The garden overlooks the majestic Atlas Mountains, including Jbel Toubkal.
There are pavilions along with many sculptures and artworks interspersed amidst the greenery. Within the garden is a massive mosaic head that sprays out water. Guests can eat at Cafe Paul Bowles here, known for its ever-changing menu featuring dishes made using locally grown ingredients. It has a rooftop terrace area. A shuttle service ferries people between the city centre and the garden three times a day.
