Yves Saint Laurent Museum is dedicated solely to the works of french fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent. It is located on Yves Saint Laurent street near the famous Majorelle garden of Marrakech. The main attraction is the selected exhibits from the Foundation Pierre Bergé – Yves Saint Laurent’s collection of thousands of sketches, assorted objects, clothing items, and more than 15,000 Haute couture accessories.
There is another hall filled with exemplary work of Jacques Majorelle, a temporary exhibition, and a bookshop. In addition, the museum has a 130-capacity auditorium, a cafe-restaurant, a rich library, and a large pool. There is a cafe inside called Cafe Le, which serves authentic Mexican or SoCal-inspired food. The unique architecture of the building projects cubes and curves made up of terracotta, concrete, and terrazzo to camouflage well with the surroundings. The lead architects of the museum were Karl Fournier and Oliver Marty.
