Also known as Big Beach and Oneola Beach, Makena Beach State Park is known for its dramatic cliff landscape and turquoise blue water. This beach is one of the best and most photographed beaches in Maui, Hawaii, and also the largest on the island. It comprises two beaches: Big Beach and Little Beach, and comes with three different entry points. The beach sits ideally between two black-lava outcroppings, giving Makena Beach a great barrier against the trade winds, and also provides incredible vistas of Kahoolawe and Molokini islands. Visitors at the beach can enjoy activities such as swimming, snorkeling, picnicking, sunbathing, etc.
