Sandwiched between Downtown Miami and South Beach, Miami’s bountiful zoological theme park, Jungle Island is popular for its exotic animals, sensational social events, and flashy pink flamingos. Founded in 1936, the Jungle Island, formerly known as the Parrot jungle, is one of the oldest attractions in Miami filled with entertaining animal shows of lemurs and tortoises along with hands-on activities at the Petting Barn. The 18-acre park is the warehouse of a thousand varieties of parrots with more than 3,000 varieties of animals. Environmentally sustained Jungle Island has its own water park featuring rapids, riptides, slides, and a climbing wall. Visitors can explore the newly established 13,800 sq Feet Treetop ballroom and enjoy delectables under the expert supervision of Executive Chef Mark Borowski.
